Hey everyone! How's your writing process going so far? I've added a second scholarly source to my research and I continue to keep finding more relatable information in regards to women and makeup. The newest article I found discusses the "real" reason for why we wear makeup, and that's to help us feel confident and gorgeous. Women have been wearing makeup for many years now, and many cultures all agree upon one thing, that makeup helps us to accentuate our natural features. For example, women tend to have redder lips and darker eyes compared to men, so in turn, women will use makeup to help draw out these features. Pink cheeks also make a woman appear to be more healthy which is why so many women wear blush. Another important factor for how bold or light we wear our makeup depends upon the event we're going to. A woman who's going to a wedding may do her makeup differently whereas if she's just going to work or to a job interview. This last part is basically common sense that most of us women know, but it does play a huge part in determining how we do our makeup. I know I still have much more research to do from here but I just wanted to share my process with you guys so far. Hope your research processes are going well too! See you all Tuesday!!
