Hey everyone! I know we're kind of coming towards the end of our informative and surprising essays, but I can honestly say this paper and the workshops we've had have really helped me to progress more as a writer. All of the articles I used to help write my paper were found on Google and I never really even considered adding a scholarly article into my research. But I feel like doing this as an assignment not only helped me to better understand our library's resources, but it also helped me to appreciate the values of using a scholarly source. Some of the pleasures that came out of using a scholarly article in my essay was that I know this information is from a credited source and not just some opinion article found somewhere on the Internet. The person who wrote this article obviously put a lot of time and research into writing this piece and I found the information to be very useful to add into my essay. I feel like this source makes my essay sound better and more professional in a way. Some of the challenges I faced while using a scholarly article was finding one that interests me as well as fits in with my essay topic. I must've spent a good forty-five minutes to an hour just searching for an article that I wanted to use in my essay. It took a lot of investigating and I read so many different scholarly articles but I finally came across one that I really enjoyed. Another challenge I faced was how to address the article in my essay because there were no authors mentioned within the article, so I really had to spend extra time on my attributive tags. Although I faced some challenges while finding a good scholarly article, I found the process and the use of one to be very beneficial. I hope all of your essays are coming along well! See you all next week, have a good weekend! :)
